Job Title: Credit Officer
Job Summary
The credit officer is responsible for maintaining a healthy and growing credit portfolio while ensuring strict compliance with Sacco policies and SASRA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loan processing: Undertake loan application, appraisal, assessment and recommendation, ensuring timely disbursement.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage the loan book to minimize non-performing loans (NPLs) and maintain a PAR below 5%.
  • Recovery & Collections: follow up on delinquent accounts through phone calls, letters and field visits.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify risks in loan applications, assess repayment capability, and ensure proper collateral documentation.
  • Member Service: Advise members on loan products and provide excellent customer service

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of Diploma in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or relevant field.
  • Minimum CPA Part II qualification.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in a Sacco or financial institution.
  • Knowledge and experience of Micro-Credit would be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, specifically in MS office and database management.

Job Title: Sales Representative
Job Summary
The individual will be responsible for recruiting members for the Society and present, promote and sell products/services using sound arguments to existing and prospective customers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit new members to the Sacco
  • Ensuring the recruited member accounts are fully funded & active
  • Achieving the set individual targets in terms of numbers and values.
  • Supporting the organization and participating in sales and marketing events.
  • Assist in disseminating relevant savings, loans and services information to the Sacco members.
  • Gross selling products/services to existing and potential members
  • Assist in identifying new sales, sales prospects and follow ups on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Assisting in marketing research and segmentation.
  • Participating in various outreach events such as member education among others.
  • Submitting periodic sales reports in the preserved manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with necessary due diligence and the Sacco Know Your Customer (KYC) Policies
  • Keep a keen eye on market trends and competition.
  • Preparing sales reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly basis for analysis by the supervisor.
  • Visit clients to get complaints/comments and handling complainants at the field level.
  • Any other lawful duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Co-operative Management, Business Administration with marketing or its equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 1 Year experience and in a similar position.
